Each team member must know how to clean properly, work safely and fully understand our company's values. Our staff training process:
Our recruitment process consists of the careful selection of applicants before the interview stage. After obtaining checkable and authentic work references together with suitable proofs of personal identification, address and work eligibility we will undertake the interview process and vetting procedure. We will then appoint the chosen candidate who will then commence our training programme. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Safe use and storage of chemicals including COSHH
Health and safety in the workplace
Accident and near-miss reporting
Equipment training and inspection of equipment
Explanation of the risk assessment and method statement of their work location
Timekeeping
Identify any other training needs
Issue of the company handbook
Documenting all the above
After which we carry out a site induction to capture first safety protocols and all site specific requirements.
We have dedicated area quality control supervisors who will meet with you regularly to discuss our service delivery. We will also carry out unannounced inspections of the cleaning areas to constantly monitor the delivery of our service. In addition, all our cleaning team members will receive regular assigned visits, training and any support they need to ensure quality control is maintained together with adherence to all our policies. We believe that this back up and support is vital to the delivery of our customer promise of “A first class service, on time and every time”
Environmental statement
We will regularly update our staff on environmental issues and seek to minimise the environmental impact of our cleaning operations. The company works to the guidelines of its purchasing and disposal policy. We believe that care for the environment, together with the continual environmental education of our staff, is key to our goals now and in the future.
All our suppliers must be able to demonstrate that the chemicals they use are as safe as possible and will have no detrimental impact to the environment. In addition, Ashdown Cleaning Ltd will only procure equipment and materials that comply with published regulations, legislation and industry codes of practice for our business sector.
